Microsoft Surface Pro 3 goes up for pre-order, US units start shipping on June 30

The latest iteration of Microsoft’s popular Surface tablet has gone up for preorder on Microsoft’s online store, and is set to hit brick-and-mortar Microsoft and BestBuy retailers in the US in limited quantities.

The Intel Core i5 128GB/256GB models will ship by June 30 in the US, while the Core i3 base model with 64GB of internal storage, as well as the high-end Core i7 models with 256GB/512GB memory will start shipping on August 1. Read more »

Adobe announces Ink & Slide and Photoshop Mix for iPad

It looks like Apple’s mobile devices are getting a lot of love from Adobe today. In addition to announcing Lightroom Mobile for the iPhone, Adobe has also made Ink & Slide and Photoshop Mix for the iPad.

Adobe Lightroom Mobile makes its way to the iPhone

Adobe’s releases are no stranger to the iPad; Lightroom Mobile was released for Apple’s tablet in April and it looks like the software manufacturer has released Lightroom for the iPhone as well.

You’ll be able to sync between the three devices seamlessly, with the desktop and iPad and iPhone versions of the software all syncing up nicely with each other on Adobe’s creative cloud. Read more »

Lenovo Yoga Tablets get the Android 4.4 KitKat treatment

Some time ago Lenovo previously announced it will roll out official Android KitKat updates for its 8″ and 10″ Yoga Tablets in June. Well, it is June already and the updates have indeed began seeding to the Yoga slates out there.

You can now get Android 4.4 KitKat for the Yoga Tablet 8 over the air. It is about 450MB big and will bring new dialer, messaging, clock apps plus refreshed notification area. Some of the Lenovo’s exclusive apps will are also getting an UI overhaul. Read more »

Samsung Galaxy Tab S pre-orders start at 329 quid in the UK, delivery expected on July 4

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 were announced at the Premiere event a couple of days ago. They’ve been up for pre-order in the US since yesterday, and now it’s the UK’s turn.

Starting today, you can pre-order the tablets at PC World, and they’re both expected to start shipping on July 4. They will become available in-store the following day, if what a tipster told Android Central is accurate. Read more »

Samsung details the Galaxy Tab S exclusive accessories

A few hours ago Samsung unveiled its flagship tablet series – the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5. They feature high resolution Super AMOLED displays, top-notch chipsets, fingerprint sensors, Galaxy S5-inspired design and super thin and light shells.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 headed to AT&T

After its Wi-Fi-only release form last month, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is now on its way to AT&T in 4G LTE form. It will be joining the recently launched Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 in the carrier’s roster.

The info has been brought by the FCC, which has just certified the affordable 8-inch tablet. That process yielded a schematic of its back, where AT&T’s logo is featured in all its glory, leaving no doubt about the intended destination of the Tab 4 8.0. Read more »

Qualcomm shows off Samsung tablet with 4K display

We already have phones and tablets pushing Quad HD resolutions so it was only a matter of time before someone managed to shoehorn a 4K UHD display into a tablet. During the French Open at Roland Garros, Qualcomm had an unnamed Samsung tablet with a 4K display.

The device in question was a prototype and meant to showcase the LTE Broadcast but it was certainly running a 12.2-inch, 4K display. The design was almost identical to many of the current Samsung Galaxy tablets. On the inside, it was said to be running the Qualcomm 801 SoC. Read more »

Samsung teases upcoming tablet event in new video

Samsung is all set to announce its next generation Galaxy Tab S. The event will be held on Thursday, June 12 in New York City in Madison Square Garden.

The focus so far has been on the display on this tablet. The Galaxy Tab S is said to have a 2560 x 1600 resolution Super AMOLED display in 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch sizes. On the inside, the Galaxy Tab S will be running an octa-coreExynos 5420 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2.1 megapixel front camera, 32GB internal memory, fingerprint sensor and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
