Google Now is ever evolving and with Android 4.4 KitKat it recognizes even more commands than ever before. It’s understandable if you don’t know all of them – we doubt anyone can remember them all. However, many don’t know even the basic things you can ask Google to do for you.

That’s why the folks over at TrendBlog have composed a neat infographic listing the cool tasks, commands and requests you can handle to Google Now. The infographic is broken down into categories each listing a set of commands. Futuremark delists HTC, Samsung handsets for cheating

Futuremark, the software developer behind 3DMark, has removed the performance scores of four Samsung and two HTC devices from its benchmark database. The reason is simple – the devices were suspected in altering their behavior during testing thus breaking the Futuremark rules and are considered cheating.

The six devices that were delisted from the Futuremark scoreboard are Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Octa), Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (S800), HTC One, HTC One mini, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (Octa) and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (S800). Read more »

Google+ for iOS now supports for size image uploads

Google has released an update for the Google+ app on iOS that brings a useful new feature for those who take a lot of photos and also happen to use Google+. The latest update now allows you to upload full resolution images and videos to your account without any compression or resizing. This feature is only available to those running on iOS 7.

You can now also share your location with your friends. People can now see others sharing their location on a map and you can choose who is displayed on the map. This is similar to the Find My Friends app on iOS, but instead uses the vastly superior Google Maps. Read more »

Apple updates Find My Friends app with iOS 7 UI guidelines

Apple has finally updated the last of its own apps for the new iOS 7, Find My Friends. As you may have seen with apps like Podcasts and iBooks, Apple has been quite late in updating its own apps for its own operating system but finally they managed to get all of them updated.

The latest Find My Friends update gets rid of all the previous corinthian leather and stitching that would put the insides of a Bentley to shame in favor of clean, simple design with translucency effects for the top bar. Viber and HERE Transit hit select Nokia Asha phones

Nokia’s touch-based Ashas are getting a couple of important apps – Here Transit Beta is now available to the Asha 50x range, while Viber has hit the Asha 3xx. Both of these apps were available for certain old-school S40 Nokias, but now owners of the touch-based Ashas can use them too.
