Samsung hints its booth at CES 2014 will be focused on smart technologies

With CES 2014 fast approaching, tech companies start teasing their upcoming product announcements. Samsung has also joined the bandwagon and has started spreading hints on what it’s going to be focusing at this year’s CES.

On the official Samsung Tomorrow blog, the company recalls the Galaxy Gear announcement at IFA 2013 and the smart home products that also debuted there, adding there’ll be more of the same at CES 2014. Read more »

Mercedes teams up with Pebble for wearable tech

So you want to be more connected to your car? Well if you’re sporting a new Mercedes-Benz, then Pebble has just the smartwatch for you. They’ve teamed up with the iconic German automotive manufacturer to create a wrist-watch style piece of wearable tech that should be available in 2014.

The Mercedes Benz/Pebble product and all of its details will be unveiled at CES between January 7-10. It’s safe to assume that the smartwatch will work with Mercedes’ already existing smartphone application: Digital Drive Style. Read more »

LG Lifeband Touch leaks out in a press image

A press image of a yet to be announced LG wearable device made the rounds on Twitter, unsurprisingly thanks to @evleaks. Dubbed LG Lifeband Touch, the gadget is likely to break cover during CES 2014 next week.

The leaked press shot of the LG Lifeband Touch appears less than a week after a word arrived about the Korean manufacturer’s alleged plans to release wearable devices called G-Arch and G-Health. Read more »

LG announces Pocket Photo 2 printer with enhanced portability

LG has officially unveiled the second edition of their Pocket Photo printer. The new generation Pocket Photo is a lot slimmer and is shaping up as a nice companion for customizing, printing and sharing images on the go.

The South Korean manufacturer will be showing the Pocket Photo 2 at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on January 7. Read more »

Avegant Glyph wearable display to debut at CES 2014

Avegant announced that it is working on a wearable display product known as Glyph. The upcoming gadget will make use of a virtual retina display, which beams the images right into your eyeballs.

The Glyph focuses on portability as the device is said to be very light and consumes very little power. Avegant has announced that the company will be showing its latest development at the Consumer Electronic Show in January. Read more »

ASUS launches a video trailer for its CES event

CES is just two weeks away now it’s the time of the year when ASUS starts building up the hype for its upcoming devices. After launching the invite dubbed In Search Of Incredible a few days ago the company is now airing the first video trailer on YouTube.

This one has the US symbol, the Statue of Liberty, as the main character. Instead of holding up its torch it holds up two fingers in the V formation and then splits the tabula ansata (meaning tablet with handles) in two. What we can gather from this is that we may be in for a new transformer slate from ASUS showcased on the CES floor. Read more »

Recently, we have seen gold plated iPhone, HTC One and a couple of other smartphones go up on sale. Now, we have a special edition of Microsoft’s Xbox One gaming console, which is covered in 24 carat gold.

Harrods, a popular high-end retailer in the UK has showcased the gorgeous looking gaming console. The impressive handmade gadget is up for grabs for £6,000 (about $9,774). Read more »

Massive Wall of Sound speakers return with version 2.0, say goodbye to your eardrums

The first Wall of Sound speakers were unveiled back in 2009, touted as the largest available speakers for iOS devices. Despite the hefty weight and $4500 price tag, they were able to sell out fairly quickly.
