FTW service will sync yours game progress across all devices and platforms

This probably sounds familiar to most of you. You are in the mood for some Angry Birds or Where’s My Water action on your smartphone, and later, you hit them up on a tablet or a laptop only to find out that the progress you’ve made earlier hasn’t synced up with your other devices. I know that feeling.

Next SimCity game gets two more trailers, promises of availability in 2013

SimCity, the game that started a whole new genre, is getting a new version in 2013. The news was confirmed by the developers from EA and Maxis and we even got a couple of trailers to go with it.

The next SimCity title is going to be powered by Maxis’ proprietary GlassBox Engine and should offer an unmatched level of fine detail. There will also be deeper social integration with neighboring cities will directly affect one another. Read more »

Diablo III release date surfaces – mark April 17 on your calendars

Blizzard certainly took its sweet time developing the next title in the Diablo series and, honestly, we don’t think you can blame the company. After the immense success that was the Diablo II, it would take an incredibly good game to build on it and those can’t be created overnight.

Assassin’s Creed III trailer gets outed by Ubisoft

The trailer of the latest Assassin’s Creed installment has gone live, folks. Ubisoft call the game the largest project in the company’s history with three years of development gone into it, as well as collaboration with six other studios.

Halo fans rejoice! The developer 343 Industries revealed more spicy details on the upcoming sequel of the highly anticipated Halo series.

As you should know, Bungie is no longer behind the Halo games. Instead, the 343 Industries studio has the responsibility to give the Halo universe a second life. It already has one Halo project – Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary – the remastered version of the first Halo game. Read more »

NVIDIA showcases the power of Tegra 3 with several games

With all those Tegra 3 smartphones and tablets out there, people will need quality games to push those 4-PLUS-1 CPU cores and the 12-core GeForce GPU to their limits. NVIDIA has that covered as they’re debuting several new game titles at the MWC that claim to provide a console-level gaming experience.

Rovio and Samsung announce partnership on Angry Birds Space with a new teaser trailer

Samsung and Rovio announced today they will be partnering on the release of the new Angry Birds Space game. The highlight of the new game, as the name suggests, will be low gravity and, as you’ll see in the teaser video, there is a new species of birds.

Both companies claim the new Angry Birds game is going to be best enjoyed on a Galaxy Note, with the new graphics taking advantage of the huge 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen. Now, time for the trailer.

Angry Birds Space comes out on March 22, to be Rovio’s biggest launch since the original game

I know most of you will be going “Not another Angry Birds!” by now but this one is different. Angry Birds Space promises to be an exciting departure from the usual Angry Birds gameplay. Yes, there will still be some limbless bird flinging but this time the conditions are different.

As the name suggests, the game will take place in outer space and this introduces some interesting new parameters to the gameplay. You will be playing in zero gravity, which should heavily affect the game’s physics. Meanwhile, there are also going to be some new birds to fling, along with some familiar ones. Read more »

Max Payne for mobile devices is on the way, Rockstar confirms

Rockstar keeps delivering great news to gamers around the planet today. First it was the new trailer of the upcoming Max Payne 3 and now the game studio confirms that the original Max Payne game will hit iOS and Android devices “very soon”.

Rockstar has launched the second official Max Payne 3 trailer, which reveals a bit more about the storyline in the game. Until now the game studio only revealed a bit of the gameplay of the action title.

Alan Wake for PC now available on Steam for $29.99

After making PC gamers wait for nearly two years, the PC version of Alan Wake is finally here. You can now download the game exclusively from Steam right now for $29.99. For that price you get the game, Collector’s Edition DLC (free until February 23rd), developer commentary videos, illustrated PDF book, and the official soundtrack for the game.

The PC version of the game promises higher quality graphics compared to the Xbox 360 version, along with full support and optimization for a keyboard and mouse layout. The graphics settings are configurable, the game is optimized for quad-core CPUs and you can now even hide the HUD for a more immersive experience. Angry Birds conquers Facebook as its latest platform

Yep, the game which is literally available on almost any device on the planet, be it mobile or not, is now available on Facebook, too. The only surprise here is what took Rovio so long?

As it turns out, the Facebook version of the game is much more sophisticated and feature-rich than its Google+ cousin, which was launched back in the summer of last year. Angry Birds on Facebook runs on Adobe Flash 11 and supports 3D graphics, which put your computer through its paces rendering the cool lighting, smoke and explosion effects the game boasts. Read more »
