Kinect v2 for Windows goes up for pre-order, ships on July 15

Microsoft has started taking pre-orders for its second generation Kinect sensor for Windows. It’s priced at $199, and it will be released on July 15 (which is next Tuesday).

The new device aims to succeed the original Kinect for Windows that went on sale in 2012. The Kinect v2 is based on the corresponding sensor for the Xbox One. Read more »

Angry Birds Seasons ‘South HAMerica’ update review

South HAMerica is the latest update to Rovio’s Angry Birds Seasons game, which is updated every now and then for a festival or season specific level pack. The South HAMerica update is odd, in that it doesn’t directly relate to any season or festival, and other than some vague reference to the football matches being held in Brazil isn’t as topical as the previous updates.

Angry Birds Seasons goes to South HAMerica with latest update

It was apparently time for Angry Birds Seasons to get yet another update. This time, Rovio added 24 new levels to its insanely popular game. These take you on a trip to South HAMerica, where your mission is, as always, to stop those pesky pigs.

There are even three bonus levels inside, and everything is packed with relics, artifacts, ancient statues, and rope bridges – all making for a pretty exotic twist to the game. Read more »

You can now use a PS4 pad wirelessly with your PS3

For the longest time, Sony has adopted an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” ideology when it came to its dual-shock Playstation controller. The iconic remote hadn’t had a major design overhaul since its debut in 1997, until the Dual-shock 4 was released.
