Sony will not support PlayStation Mobile past Android 4.4.2

PlayStation on Android is dead, practically dead anyway. Sony has just announced that PlayStation Mobile will not be supported on Android versions 4.4.3 and newer. The game store and the games themselves will continue to work but Sony doesn’t guarantee they’ll continue to work if you update past 4.4.2.

The company states that it will move its focus to the PS Vita and PS Vita TV, where the game store will live on. Read more »

NVIDIA’s powerful new tablet, the Shield, is now out. It was made official exactly one week ago, after many leaks about it had popped up in the past.

Sony to dole out $15 million in free stuff for 2011 data breach

Back in 2011, Sony had a bit of a security leak when it came to PS3 user data; the celebrity hacker group Anonymous stole the passwords, names, and in some cases, payment information of PS3 users.

As a result, Sony gave out free PSN titles as a “sorry” to its customers. That wasn’t the end of it though. Sony has finally reached a $15 million settlement for the intrusion, and that means swag, as well as monetary compensation, will be given to affected Sony customers. Read more »

Early access contest winners of ‘Modern Combat 5: Blackout’ cracked and pirated the game

As it happens, Gameloft gave away early access copies of the iOS version of their latest Modern Combat 5: Blackout game to contest winners. Instead of being thankful and playing the game as they were expected, some of these people cracked the game and uploaded it on pirating sites. Read more »

Modern Combat 5: Blackout is the latest installment in Gameloft’s series of first person action games. The games have traditionally been based on warfare and very close in nature and style to the Call of Duty series of games on the PC and consoles.
