Apparently I don’t agree with the T3i being better in every aspect, Areas such as video quality is always Sony’s turf. and high ISO shots are comparable if not better also T3i is still a brick compared to C3 but hey these two babies are two completely different things

I just saw from a site that G1-X’s sensor isn’t exactly close to an APS-C in terms of size, but still this one can literally kill all fourthirds cameras except the NEX line

You are kidding, right? The Olympus XZ-1 got a standard sensor of a compact camera, no faster lens can give any advantage over such a big sensor from this camera…

It’s expensive because it’s compact. Actually, for the price of a Nex C3 you can also buy a Canon T3i which is also better in every aspect, except the size. Honestly, even a Nex C3 with a standard 18-55 lens can’t fit your pocket, while this camera can. So it’s probably the pocketability that makes it expensive. Also, you don’t have a hot-shoe on the Nex C3 so you can’t even think about decent flash photography. I would go for the G1 X all the way.

After spending 3 years looking at D-SLR and not finding one I want – I’m glad to say this is on my to-buy list! I don’t care for bulky camera & expensive lenses, this fits the bill!

Now the difficult part – just have to save enough money. Erm…

At $800 it’s as expensive as the Sony NEX C3, but the latter is an SLD with larger sensor, more resolution and interchangeable lens, Canon might be picking a fight with the other four-thirds but Sony NEX line are its biggest thorn in its path

Well, actually the sensor size advantage is kind of nullified against the likes of Olympus XZ-1, as they feature a one stop faster lens at the wide end and an even faster telephoto end. Same applies for the background blur too, so, no big deal really.

So none of the cameras actually have the sensor size they mention. Normally it is around 30% smaller.

OMG do really want this. I’ve been using the G9, G11, and G12 these cameras are definitely awesome!
