Comeon mate, photography reviews are praising 808 because it's a cameraphone that just happens to take excellent daylight and lowlight-flash pictures comparable to some dedicated cameras out there. everyone in the photography realm knows that 808 is still miles behind DSLRs, SLTs, SLDs, 4/3s and even enthusiast compact cameras like G1x and RX100 due to the full blown capabilities those cameras can do over the 808. Nokia may have existed on 1865 but at what specialty? optics? photography? give us a break dude. Canon is a well respected optics and photography company since 1937, and so does Nikon and Minolta which is now Sony Alpha. okay since you persist that Nokia 808 is a better buy than EOS-M then go for it, just don't tell serious photographers to ditch their EOSes for an 808 as it's just too stupid

Gsmarena did compare it too. And I really doubt that people at Gsmarena can be categorized as "idiots". And you should really check out what "real photographers" had to say about 808 PV at www.dpreview.com. Also check out the blog of Falk Lumo (who has experience of 3 decades in astro and macro photography) about 808 PV. As for the legacy and heritage, Nokia has been in the tech industry since 1865!

I forgot that we're on a cellphone blog, no wonder there are so many mindless trolls comparing a cellphone camera to a mirrorless ILC. Funny to see all the comments about the 808 beating the new Canon EOS-M, when the camera is not even out till October.
