You can now post animated GIFs on Twitter

Twitter annoucned that its users can now share and view animated GIFs. The social networking giant delivered the word from its official support account.

The new functionality works on desktop devices, as well as iOS and Android. You can view the animated GIF directly in your feed by hitting the play icon in the middle of it, or simply by opening the tweet which contains it.

To mark the occasion, Twitter Support posted the mandatory image of an animated cute puppy. Check it out below and don’t forget to click on the image to play the animation.

Are you excited for the new functionality? Do you think it will help Twitter battle the slowing growth we told you about? Drop us a line in the comments section.
