I suspect a lot of the lag with the Sola is due to Sony’s skinning/bloatware causing inefficient use of RAM. And yes, I thought about going down the whole rooting/flashing/modding rabbit-hole. In the end I’m just not that brave…maybe one day! But for now I’d prefer to have the stock OEM OS. Its still an ok phone, just wish it ran a little more smoothly (as the Nexus 7 does).

Android uses C, C++ and java. (if you take DVM kernel and everything) but the android system is based on java. It is not java but it is based on java.

First and foremost, mobility in java. It can practically run in every device manufactured these days. Second I guess people at Google are lazy to optimize it.

I hereby like to accept that android had, still have and will have lag in the future. And I like to accept the fact that you’re a stubborn stupid idiot. Cant you read what me and 3rd encounter said? Multitasking enabled OSes come with lag. And it you who have to close apps without letting them run in the background and complain about I.
