In my opinion, Archos has been severely underrated over the years. It can now finally shine. They have so many years (>10) of PMP experience with this LARGE amount of Codex support (if not all), which means that they have got one of the key functions – multimedia covered better than anyone else in the competition. The over-clocked CPU and 250 GB Hard drive capacity means that Archos is starting to think like Apple….Thinking Ahead of the game. The best thing of all? They remembered to be kind to their loyal but not o-so-rich customers by selling it at a REASONABLE price…For those of you who complained about the screen: If Archos adds in a very good screen with AMOLED etc, the price is going to go up, and one of the key advantage of Archos would be destroyed (regardless of that, although still not state-of-the-art, Archos has improved the screen’s viewing angle). The only regret I have is the looks, severely improved, but still not “desirable”. On the bright side, it is no longer embarrassed to use an Archos tab!

The problem with this comparison is the LG optimus Pad and Samsung tab 8.9 are hard to find here :( wish there were side by side comparisons of the Archos 80 G9 and the Samsung 10 inch. How come all reviews are of the Archos 1.5GHz what about the 1GHz?

Archos Tablets 80 G9 & 101 G9 over all is the best!!! & Mercury Mtab is the best tablet but low cost approx. 10000 & all features is good!!!

for example : the weight & video codecs for the LG optimus PAD should be RED.

there isn’t any SD slot on the HD edition :(

there is one mistake on the archos specs.

there is a microSD slot on both flash an HD editions

There is also something about the battery life:
• Music playback time: up to 36 hrs

• Video playback time: up to 7 hrs

• Internet navigation time : up to 10 hrs
