Comments on: Asus Transformer Prime 700T with FullHD screen officially announced, makes quick work of other tablets

Early adopters of the first Prime (the 200T) went through recalls and
issues. If that’s going to be the case again with the 700T?, then we’re
looking at August/September as a safe time to buy one. I don’t want to
wait that long. Besides the resolution, the only difference between
the two is the back panel. Any idea if there are or will be resellers
of just the back panels for the current Prime? If that’s all the
current one needs to equal the wifi performance of this new version, why
can’t I simply just get a new panel to pop onto the back of the 200T?

I think ICS will probably go a long way towards improving the app issue. Android smartphone apps can be a little hit-and-miss with screen size scaling, but at least most of them are built to be able to handle the scaling in the first place and so most of them can work on tablets (unlike Apple apps).

Without the OS fragmentation across device types that Honeycomb caused, we’ll probably see more developers paying attention to what their app looks like on a tablet.

Neat, I think i’ll start saving my pennies for this one, It’s about time to replace my Aspire one A-110. The people who claim these companies are releasing products “too fast” crack me up, they’re just mad they’ve lost bragging rights about having the latest device. Although I must admit there is a bit of the whole Sega 32X/CD/Saturn Half-bakedness to some of these products and they might do well to do a little more beta testing before releasing some of these. But going to yearly product release with incremental-over-hyped improvements a-la apple hardly seems like the answer, I for one am glad the computer business is too competitive to allow everyone else from jumping on that bandwagon

As much as I hate to admit it, iPad 3 will probably sell more than 4x all android tablets combined, despite perhaps having lower specs for the same price.
Three main reasons
-Heavy marketing
-Ease of use (many people need the dumbing down of the iOS)
-Tons more tablet apps (google needs to really kick their developers are the arse)

I’m an android fan with a sensation xe, but androids app issue drove me to buying an ipad2 for my tab.
