I do kind of agree with you. Even though over the past few months I’ve been seeing myself kind of wish I had a tablet vs. my normal laptop (desktop replace big power, big screen, small battery life though). I think what tablets are really ideal for are for people who are on the go but don’t quite need full laptop capabilities all the time, but need something more than a little 3-4 inch screen. The Asus Transformer really made me a convert, it’s really the best of both worlds. Tablets I think are going to be a media consumer for quite sometime before their used to create.

Not ground breaking, but it won’t hurt, that’s for sure. If you find it doesn’t serve the reason you bought it, don’t use that feature, some may find it nice.

Until evidence to the contrary, I wouldn’t use “tablets” and “on the move” in the same sentence. They certainly are mobile as in can be carried, but IMHO they are far too bulky to be just casually carried around at all times (like mobiles are).

I have a hunch that in spite of all the advertising, tablets today are mostly couch accessories…

This is very good news, but what will be better news is when we find out if this will work in conjunction with tv out. E.g. turn your android into a portable gaming machine (snes/playstation/etc) I have been waiting for this for ages and it looks like it might just happen.

Slight downer though is I beleive the gamsung galaxy s 2 (what I have) doesnt support usb host and hdmi out at the same time so to get this to happen for me we are going to need some wireless support. Heres hoping

**EDIT** After actually looking at the image above I see it is being used with hdmi out :S either way get this working on my gs2 as a multiplatform gaming machine in your pocket is a much cooler idea

nice, while some game better off without a controller there are other games that is better with controller..

i believe its an amazing idea that tablets and phones having ice cream sandwich will be able to support controllers.its incredible
