I agree with you. I’m more inclined toward Nexus 7 as 16 gb internal memory is more than enough for me ;)

The reason most probably because is because this was the template that the Nexus 7 (more precisely the unreleased Eee Pad MeMo 370T) was based from. I remember in CES 2012 that Asus showed the budget quad core Tegra 3 tablet (which was unheard of at that time) and magically it disappeared and reappeared 4 or 5 months later as the Nexus 7.

That may be true but this one has a microSD card slot so it would be a lot more bang for your buck.
