Did You know, that currently 2 big player is in the map database market: TeleÍtlas (TomTom) and Navteq (Nokia)? All the big players bought their data and recalibrate it (like Google did)
The question is which database bought Apple (which date)!
Waze has their own map source (crowdsourced map), so they have pretty good maps, but they are serving the traffic data to Apple, not the map data.

Well at least it offers Turn by Turn navigation in a lot more countries now, and since my country is now supported, I believe it is a lot better than google, that only offers directions.

So I would say Nokia and google are just as good but in separate departments. One flaw in that photo is Google earth because it is also on iphone unless it isnt as good or they got rid of it

apple’s “royal” customer wants everything apple throw at them.. my words didn’t necessarily mean that all apple’s device are sucks, but that’s just how it is with most of their customer, or future customer that still saves up their money.. it’s not the same with samsung customer (or any other phones out there) that a whole other worlds more critical when buying new phones..

Seems like Apple wants to get their own maps. and then what , they can sue Google or Nokia for using the Navigation Arrow.

im not saying gmaps are bad, just that coverage is better in nokia maps
and you cant use it fully offline
you can put all of the nokia maps on the phone, if you wanted
with gmaps, you can put just pieces, towns etc, i think up to 90mb

Nokia maps first of looked so ugly to me..secondly I live in uk, google maps offline has been awesome. Never had any problem. :)..Oh and I travel a lot…so dont go on that if you travel abroad thing, been to india,,japan..south korea, latin america, russia, most parts of europe, sri lanka…never had any problem..So please dont state something without knowing it properly!
