AND The computer mouse was invented by Douglas Engelbart in 1964. He received a patent on the mouse in 1970, and called it a mouse because of the cord out the back.

well if that is what you meant, then yes, at that part he can be “considered” innovative. But i think he shouldnt take all the credit for the “innovation” created by apple. An honest truth, that is why he effectively marketed the products better because he made everyone believe “he” innovated such features (or improved). I’m sure designers like Jon Ive and a few other engineers in R&D created such proposals as well.

As much as I and many other americans appreciate his work, too much credits has been given to Jobs for something he didn’t do alone. But at least he’s resting in peace without facing this world’s ugliness.

On the contrary, iPhone cant stand up to a 10 year old feature phone to utilise a micro SD. and i guess we should go back to the same old feature phone for reject-call-with-sms :)

I didn’t say that he made touchscreen. I am saying that their software ios was really fast and responsive compared to other os’s. it also had more functionality and also was easy to use. That’s when other os’s came and copied their software technology like pinch to zoom, rubber band effect,etc

because he wasn’t the first to ever create a touchscreen phone or the first to step into that market. his skill of marketing the iphone overshadowed previous companies inventions; making americans, like me, believe that iphone was the first to innovate the smartphone industry.

1.Mobile OS shouldn’t be complicated as PC , Thats why multitasking and lot of implementations differ on mobile computing Vs Desktop class computing ,
In fact people who want to a light system with computing capabilities they can spend it on Macbook Air Instead of an iPad 64 GB and 4G Model , Both are not very heavy and also carry decent form factor but it depends on user , right ? I myself chose iPad 64 GB and 4G over Macbook Air because i already have a desktop powerhouse to do everything beyond limits of mobile space , both have different approach but it finally breaks down to user’s choice to choose something , we cannot judge which one is inferior or superior.

2.I don’t care either , since I have iTunes library and huge collection of apps , I never had a need of SD-slot since iPod Times (2000s decade and even in 2010s decade too).

3.Again , Personal Choice , I have windows desktop and my icons are in a grid and folders are in a grid :) , same with my mobile devices too.
I have no plans to switch to Windows 8 , Instead I am switching to OS X instead.

4.Me too . I never want to pay for android apps as their quality is too bad.
Don’t get me started with Tablet apps which are too worse.
You know what matter i see in Playstore reviews ? All those reviews say is “App works or not” or “App works in XXX Device” , In Apple’s Appstore i can actually read reviews and ratings about apps instead of comments about which devices apps work and they get updated very fast , never got disappointed.As a matter of fact , even google apps on iOS get very fast updates.

5.Galaxy Nexus uses same approach as Passbook (i.e virtual wallet) , and this concept isn’t new to android or iOS , lot of metro stations implemented this on iPhones long back when Apple introduced new API’s in iOS 3.0.

6.I don’t care either , As far as i am concerned , i never got trouble in sharing , Just use Mail (i think anyone who purchase smartphone definitely has 3G connection otherwise it would be very stupid to buy a smartphone)

7.Didn’t you just say personal preference too ? Your opinion is customization is better , but i think customization and widgets are not as important as you are stressing.

8.Any smartphone relies on apps dude , What is Mail ? What is Internet ? What is contacts ? all are apps………Appstore and Play Store have like 500,000+ apps , Ignoring apps is stupid really.

9.That’s not official right ? Android gives u warning when downloading from external sources at your own risk.

10.Perhaps they are not integrated but still it needs improvement which i agree , It gets better as time passes by but hey ? there are alternatives including google maps.
