It’s always been and remains the single most useful profession known to man and anyone who says different is a fool.

Having said that, around 80% people I knew in highschool could get into medicine and finish it without no problems whatsoever (it was kind of a good school), and a lot of them did. I’ve met one girl who got into graphic design and a lot more who tried.

What I was trying to say was that there’s a lot smaller percentage of people who can get into/finish design than people who can get into/finish medicine and I’m saying this with all due respect to one of my closest friends who’s a doctor.

For one you can’t go and do a Gregory House with medicine just because you want to do things differently. Medicine is not only about textbook, its also the resolve to do what you think its right taking in mind what the patient wants and what those textbooks and guidelines say. It requires a different mindset to that of creating logos and other designs. People rely on graphic designers to provide the next best products and make money, whereas people rely on doctors/ nurses to save lives. Not exactly comparing apples with apples here…
