This story shows aggain the ability of men to forget everything by drinking a lot of beer. But I guess I wouldn’t drink so much if I had an Iphone prototype with me. I think Gary just couldn’t live without beer:-).

He was an engineer working on the GSM baseband. That’s why he had it and was using it. That was for testing purposes. The idiotic part on his behalf, was probably taking it out for a night on the town.

The story is real. Read the whole enchilada over at Gizmodo. If it’s fake then Apple must have spent millions making a prototype and then would have had to go through enormous troubles to ensure the right person finds it, and then sends it over to the one blog that Apple has an acrimonious relationship with. Could it happen? Sure. Likely explanation? 27 year old engineers can be a tad irresponsible when getting drunk on their birthdays.
