It is my opinion that Android has reached its peak, and that it is on the verge of implosion. Nokia-Microsoft now are at the beginning of their onslaught. Samsung has held an emergency meeting, with the Chairman very upset at the Google-Motorola merger, and have now instructed R&D towards Bada, which c'mon is just sh*t.

All the other Android manufacturers are also now jittery with Google having a cosy relationship with just one manufacturer, which is pretty much contrary to the principle Google espoused in the first place.

Apple is launching iPhone with iOS 5, which will contiue to sell at their own pace.

All in all, 2012 is going to be a tough year for Android, unless they take steps to mitigate these factors outlined above.

Wow! We now have Apple haters saying slower phones are better, as long as the specs look better on paper.

Special loser award is a tie between @40fd69e21d5c5ca4fa834a53c3db4cbc:disqus and @40307f87e216c753416262f030dacd77:disqus

Apple has had their day? Wow that's amazing. Almost every other respectable news and tech website is reporting just the opposite, yet all the Apple haters here are beating the same old drum. Is there a secret achievement list somewhere, and Apple haters are all competing to see who can be the most out of touch with reality? HAHAHAHA!

You archaic iOS nuts are forgetting one thing.. Ice Cream Sandwich paired with the Nexus Prime is coming to end fragmentation and give devs the ultimate money maker platform. Currently the LG G2x (not the galaxy s2) is the best phone on the market (taking into account there were quality control issues). Vanilla Android and Nvidia's Tegra 2 have the most dev/update support/potential on top of it being good hardware. I have worked with both i0S and Android jailbreaking and rooting and installing custom builds/kernels. I can tell you hands down that Android has the most potential and we will see this starting with Ice Creme Sandwich. Android will finally get the attention it deserves. Maybe fragmentation has actually helped Android.. now that they single handedly have 50% market share, they can concentrate on refinement to keep that 50% loyal. I wish people would actually take some time to study something completely before brining baseless opinions to a debate. Apple REALLY needs to change its tires stay in this race.

"and besides i never have to restart my android phone. Not like the gf and her iphone which crashes and has to be taken back!"

i Have used iPhone over two years and never needed to restart it because of crash or any malfunction. Only restarts needed when new OS updates comes.

I think this is the one reason why iPhone users give five star ratings to iPhone and has most satisfied costumers every year, iOS is very reliable.
