<>. The tablet neither have a front nor back end camera. So, there is no question of Video chatting ;). The cloud storage, all new customized UI, amazon own application store, above all its price will definitely make it a stiff competitor.

Amazing piece thing, amazon may beat google and apple at their own game. First they too googles OS, customized it to an extent that it is not even recognizable and removed their own app store to create an entire ecosystem based on their OS but still it has nothing at all to do with google. This is the first major android device without googles blessing and the way i see it it will also be the most popular tablet.
And apple, their whole thing with the iPad was to convince people that you don't need a laptop, what amazon is trying to say is that you don't need an iPad(or any other full fledged tablet) and this will do all you need it to. As far as i see it is perfect for me, as i use my laptop for everything and all i would use a tablet for was web browsing, books, an occasional movie on the move etc, it would be something i could use while on the bus, to supplement my laptop. This will do exactly that. But i am still a bit concerned about how it will handle media out of amazons ecosystem

Depends on how you view it. For people looking for a Kindle, this is probably amazing, as it is now a Kindle with added features.

As a tablet, yes of course, very limited.

Amazon hit a home run with this tablet. Now it's a race to the bottom and this Amazon tablet kills all the other Android tablets the other OEMs offers. The Zoom, the Tab, and other more expensive Android tablets will have a hard time competing against the Fire.

Good job Amazon for undercutting all the other OEMs!
