Looking at the image, the GPU is smack bang in the middle of the machine (above the G and H keys of keyboard). As an engineering student, I don’t like the way that the GPU heat-sink comes AFTER the CPU heat-sink. The GPU will produce a fair amount of heat and routing the CPU heat dissipator won’t do it any favours…

I hear the SSD is built into the motherboard but I can’t see it? Or is it that RAM shaped thing near the top (and the RAM itself built-in?)?

Though my original wager still stands. Give it a week on the market and someone will have a youtube video up cooking eggs on the underside of the thing. Though I must admit, the laptop’s size and specs are quite appealing… Though I’ve never been a fan in terms of the chassis structure…

reminds me the new Sony X series , very compact and impossible to repair …. can’t justify its existence when we already have MBP 13″ with better specs and battery life. the new Air is bulit to say “We can do it !” and we already knew it :D
